What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a hands-on Data Analyst to turn data into actionable business insights. You will collect, clean, analyze, visualize, and present data to support product and business decisions.

• Collect, clean, validate, and reconcile data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, join, and aggregate large datasets.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau.
• Create recurring and ad hoc analyses to track KPIs and surface trends.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into analytical solutions and documented reports.
• Perform data quality checks and document data processes and assumptions.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and scope analytical work.

What We’re Looking For (Required)

• 2–4 years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related role.
• Strong SQL skills (joins, subqueries, aggregations, window functions).
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, advanced formulas).
• Experience building visualizations and dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.
• Solid understanding of data cleaning, validation, and transformation techniques.
• Familiarity with statistical concepts and the ability to interpret data patterns.
• Clear communication skills and ability to present insights to stakeholders.
• Comfortable managing multiple tasks and working both independently and in teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Python for data analysis (pandas, numpy).
• Exposure to databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience working in Agile or cross-functional environments.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related field preferred.
• Advanced degrees or relevant certifications in analytics, Power BI, Tableau, or SQL are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $85,000 — $105,000 per year (range provided by employer).
• Benefits vary by state and may include health insurance, paid time off, retirement plan options, and other standard offerings. Specific benefit details will be provided by Confidential Client.

• Location: Austin, TX — Telecommute / Remote-eligible (job supports remote work but is listed for Austin, TX).
