Data Analyst
The Data Analyst at Confidential Client is responsible for providing analytical support for Renewable & Resilient Generation facilities, focusing on fleet performance review, operational gap analysis, and energy modeling to enhance renewable energy output. This role involves collaboration with industry partners, supporting over 5GW of generation assets, and serving as a subject matter expert to drive performance improvements and strategic alignment across the organization.

What You’ll Do
This Data Analyst role supports operations and maintenance analytics for renewable and resilient generation facilities following commercial operation. You will analyze fleet performance, build models to predict expected vs actual renewable output, and translate findings into actionable improvements across the portfolio.
- Promote a strong safety culture by supporting O&M initiatives and performing safety data trend analysis
- Develop and maintain complex energy and performance models to predict renewable output and identify opportunities
- Review solar fleet performance and maintenance data; identify patterns, gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Compare performance goals to actual data and recommend target adjustments or corrective actions
- Engage industry partners and peers on BESS and DER performance and maintenance data trends and best practices
- Serve as a subject matter expert for renewable and resilient generation performance data
- Support existing generation assets and new facilities after COD with data integration, analysis, and reporting
- Collaborate across organizations to share lessons learned, increase efficiency, and strengthen strategy
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data analytics, or a related field strongly preferred
- Experience working with data from multiple sources and applying data management techniques to access, integrate, analyze, and visualize that data
- Proficiency with data visualization and analytics platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking and pattern-recognition skills with an emphasis on solution-oriented recommendations
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and communicate technical details to diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders and customer facility contacts
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of renewable energy, solar technologies, and battery energy storage systems (BESS)
- Experience with Databricks and modern data engineering/analytics workflows
- Familiarity with GitHub or similar version control systems
- Project management experience and prior work supporting generation O&M preferred
- Experience engaging with external industry groups or benchmarking efforts
