Data Analyst
The Data Analyst at Confidential Client will support application migration by analyzing existing systems, data flows, and dependencies. The role requires expertise in delivery management, deep data analysis, and collaboration with engineering, product, and business teams to ensure accurate data mapping and validation throughout the migration lifecycle.

What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Data Analyst to support large-scale application and data migrations. You will analyze legacy systems, document data flows and downstream dependencies, map legacy structures to cloud-based solutions, validate data accuracy through the migration lifecycle, and partner with engineering, product, and business teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Perform deep-dive data analysis to discover data quality issues, lineage, and transformation requirements
- Map source schemas and ETL processes to target Snowflake and cloud architectures (Azure and AWS)
- Create and maintain migration artifacts: data inventories, mapping documents, test cases, and risk/mitigation plans
- Validate migrated data through reconciliation testing and partner with QA to drive remediation
- Translate technical data requirements for business stakeholders and provide clear status updates to senior leadership
- Support delivery management activities: project planning, roadmaps, risk tracking, and stakeholder communications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a related field
- 3+ years’ experience as a data analyst or similar role working on data migrations or ETL projects
- Strong SQL skills for profiling, querying, and data validation
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
- Proven experience with data mapping, reconciliation testing, and producing clear technical documentation
- Strong communication skills with experience collaborating across engineering, product, and business teams
- Demonstrated delivery management experience (project plans, roadmaps, risk & mitigation)
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience in IT Services, consulting, or enterprise migration projects
- Familiarity with scripting (Python, Bash) for data processing or automation
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, or data catalog tools
- Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines or infrastructure-as-code practices
Compensation & Benefits
The base compensation range for this role in Atlanta, GA is: $112,700 - $148,000 (USD) per year. Final compensation will be determined by factors permitted by law, including experience, location, and internal equity. This role may also be eligible for variable incentives or bonuses, where applicable.
