Data Analyst, Associate
The Data Analyst Associate at Confidential Client is responsible for developing and maintaining data-driven reports, dashboards, and automated solutions to support research administration. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to enhance business processes, ensuring data integrity, and supporting operational and executive reporting needs within the research enterprise.

What You’ll Do
- Support research and administrative teams by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to inform decisions.
- Build and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track research activity, funding, and performance metrics.
- Query databases and prepare datasets for analysis using SQL and spreadsheet tools.
- Translate data findings into clear summaries and visualizations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Help identify and resolve data quality issues and improve data workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ad-hoc analysis and project-based reporting.
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related role — or equivalent academic/research experience.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with SQL and spreadsheet tools (Excel or Google Sheets).
- Experience creating data visualizations and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings to varied audiences.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in higher education, research administration, or grant/funding analytics.
- Familiarity with statistical tools or scripting (Python, R) for data manipulation.
- Prior exposure to enterprise data systems and reporting frameworks.
Location & Schedule
- This position is based in Atlanta, GA (Atlanta Metropolitan Area). Specific onsite/hybrid schedule will be determined by the Confidential Client.
- Employment type: Full-time (hours and additional schedule details provided by the client).
