What You’ll Do
The Data Analyst (Analytics & Reporting) will turn large financial datasets into actionable reporting and insights to support performance measurement and regulatory filings for our Confidential Client. You will work closely with data governance and regulatory stakeholders to deliver accurate, auditable reports.
- Consolidate and prepare Confidential Client's deposit and loan portfolio data and reconcile database records against the general ledger.
- Translate business requests into analytical solutions and dashboards that support stakeholders across finance and operations.
- Validate general ledger and source system data; investigate and resolve data discrepancies to ensure consistency.
- Manage and review data quality metrics for portfolio data stored in the data warehouse.
- Support preparation of regulatory and financial reports; ensure documentation and controls meet audit requirements.
- Build reports and visualizations for business users using BI tools and Excel.
- Document report definitions, calculation logic, and data lineage for transparency and auditability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, compliance, data governance) to implement reporting improvements.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in data analytics, data management, or a similar finance-focused analytics role.
- Entry-level knowledge of banking operations (deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, or commercial banking products).
- Familiarity with regulatory and legal compliance obligations relevant to financial reporting.
- Entry-level to intermediate experience with SQL and Excel; advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, advanced formulas).
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI (entry to intermediate).
- Ability to present findings from large datasets in a clear, actionable way.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and data quality.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Experience supporting financial reporting or regulatory reporting is a strong plus.
