What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a hands-on Data Analyst to build and maintain client-facing reporting and to support Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) work that feeds those reports. You will spend most of your time in a cloud data warehouse writing and optimizing SQL, assembling recurring client reports, and ensuring data quality between AEP and Snowflake. You’ll also carry out AEP configuration tasks to spec and help monitor data flows. This is a hybrid role requiring at least two days per week on-site in Alexandria, VA.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting views in Snowflake that reflect agreed metric definitions and visual designs.
- Write, test, and optimize SQL queries, views, and transformations that feed dashboards and recurring reports.
- Monitor scheduled data refreshes, investigate data gaps or late-arriving records, and escalate issues to the team.
- Assemble recurring and ad hoc client reports: pull numbers, build charts/tables, reconcile with sources, and prepare drafts for senior review.
- Run data quality checks between AEP and Snowflake; investigate and document discrepancies in counts and metrics.
- Execute AEP configuration tasks to written specifications: create/update datasets and XDM schema fields, build audience segments, and set up source connections/destinations with senior guidance.
- Assist with testing and monitoring of activation and data flows (AEP → Snowflake), confirming audiences activate and data lands on schedule.
- Apply privacy controls and governance: label data usage, honor consent/access rules, minimize PII exposure, and escalate any privacy concerns.
- Document queries, views, dashboard logic, run books, and reporting procedures; keep trackers current for the team and the client.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience in analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, marketing technology, or web development.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience querying a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred; BigQuery/Redshift acceptable).
- Demonstrated experience building dashboards/reports and presenting data clearly for non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and discipline to reconcile and QA data across systems.
- Exposure to Adobe Experience Platform or a comparable enterprise customer data platform; willingness to perform configuration work to standards set by the team.
- Working understanding of PII handling and data privacy basics, including consent and access control.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; proactive about asking questions and flagging issues early.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, computer science, math, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on Adobe Experience Platform experience (XDM schemas, audience segmentation, destination setup).
- Advanced Snowflake experience; familiarity with Snowpark or containerized deployments.
- Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and React for data-driven interfaces.
- Experience with charting/visualization libraries (Recharts, D3, Highcharts, Plotly).
- Familiarity with Python and/or dbt for transformations and pipelines.
- Adobe Experience Platform certifications or coursework toward certification.
- Exposure to website data collection and tag management (Adobe Launch, Tealium, GTM) or adjacent Adobe tools (Journey Optimizer, Campaign, Analytics).
- Experience in an agency or client-services setting, or with government/public sector/nonprofit clients handling sensitive data.
