What You’ll Do

You will apply AI-assisted workflows and traditional analysis to improve data quality, generate insights, and support product evolution:

  • Leverage AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, etc.) to speed research, prototype ideas, and summarize findings.
  • Analyze large datasets to find trends, anomalies, and opportunities that drive product and business decisions.
  • Support data enrichment, validation, cleansing, and quality-improvement initiatives across millions of records.
  • Identify relationships between entities, search behaviors, topics, brands, and content using AI-augmented techniques.
  • Partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering to evaluate new datasets and AI-driven product opportunities.
  • Build proofs-of-concept (PoCs) demonstrating how emerging AI tech can improve data quality and product features.
  • Document methodologies, findings, and recommendations clearly for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate new AI tools and workflows to improve team productivity and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business/Marketing Analytics, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of relevant professional, academic, internship, research, or project experience in data analysis, BI, analytics, or AI tool usage.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, or similar) to assist research, analysis, or decision-making.
  • Familiarity with data analysis concepts, data quality principles, and working with structured datasets.
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts such as NLP, entity recognition, or information retrieval.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and clear written/verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-moving environment where priorities and tools evolve quickly.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python, SQL, R, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools.
  • Prior work with large-scale search or marketing datasets, SaaS platforms, or AI-driven products.
  • Hands-on familiarity with NLP, knowledge graphs, entity extraction, or information retrieval techniques.
  • Experience automating repetitive tasks with AI-assisted workflows.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Hourly pay rate: $25/hour.
  • Employment type: Contractor — initial 3-month evaluation with intent to transition to a longer-term opportunity for the right candidate.
  • Work model: In-office, hybrid schedule. Team onsite Tuesday–Thursday in Downtown Chicago; remote focus days Monday and Friday.
  • Candidates must be local to Chicago; no relocation assistance is provided.
