Position summary
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Cybersecurity Analyst (Onsite) in Tucson, AZ. This role supports cybersecurity compliance and administrative risk-management tasks for classified information systems, helping ensure adherence to DoD and NISPOM/DCSA policies. The position requires U.S. citizenship and an active/transferable U.S. government security clearance (DoD Secret) or the ability to obtain an interim clearance prior to start.
What You’ll Do
- Support front-line user support, user access management workflows, and system change requests.
- Maintain records, assist with configuration and lifecycle management for systems (software/hardware).
- Assist with data entry, metrics gathering, program and user request tracking to support system compliance.
- Support delivery and maintenance of information systems security education, training, and awareness activities.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity Managers, ISSMs, ISSOs and cross-functional program teams to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Help produce documentation and tracking artifacts required for RMF, DAAPM, JSIG and NISPOM-chapter 8 compliance activities.
Qualifications — You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, IT Management, Criminal Justice, Business, Math, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working with or supporting computer technologies (databases, OS, network hardware, software, hardware troubleshooting).
- Experience or exposure to compliance-based auditing (Military/DoD or non-defense standards such as FAA, PCI, ISO 9001, HIPAA).
- Background in physical security, policework/criminal justice, investigations, Border Patrol or similar is a plus.
- Strong data entry and documentation skills; experience interpreting and reporting metrics, program or project support, or office administration.
- Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance is required prior to start OR ability to obtain an interim clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required (only U.S. citizens are eligible for security clearances).
Qualifications — We Prefer
- Ability to proactively identify process gaps and implement improvements.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, especially documenting evaluation results.
- Customer-focused, adaptable, and able to handle varying assignments.
- Experience with training, records, or compliance management.
- Experience working in DoD classified operating or laboratory environments.
- IAM Level I certification (e.g., Security+ or equivalent).
- Familiarity with RMF, NISPOM, DAAPM, JSIG, ICD 503, STIGs and applicable NIST publications.
- Completion of National Industrial Security Program cybersecurity training (e.g., CDSE courses).
Location, schedule & clearance
- Location: Tucson, AZ — this is an onsite role; candidates will work primarily at the client’s Tucson facility.
- Onsite candidates may be asked to attend certain interview steps in person at a client office.
- Clearance: DoD Secret required (active/transferable preferred) or ability to obtain an interim clearance prior to start.
- U.S. citizenship required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (good-faith estimate): $57,200 — $108,800 USD per year. Final offer depends on experience, location, and qualifications.
