Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst (PCI) to join their payment compliance team. This remote role supports Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance efforts by gathering and analyzing data, partnering with cross-functional teams, and driving remediation so the business can securely process customer payments.
Key Responsibilities
- 30% Analysis — gather, synthesize, and analyze security and compliance data to identify gaps and recommended actions
- 30% Collaboration — work closely with Cybersecurity, Technology, and Business teams to track trends, clarify requirements, and support remediation
- 40% Drive Execution — evaluate findings and provide clear, prioritized recommendations to maintain PCI and payment-method compliance
- Support internal PCI processes, documentation, and awareness efforts
- Help empower associates with guidance, tooling, and remediation steps to protect payment data
What You’ll Bring (Minimum Qualifications)
- Must be 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn cybersecurity and payment compliance concepts
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a primarily remote environment and collaborating across teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Internship or project experience in cybersecurity, compliance, or IT risk-related work
- Familiarity with PCI standards and payment security concepts (PCI DSS exposure is a plus)
- Hands-on or academic background that demonstrates technical aptitude and ability to grow in security domains
Work Environment & Logistics
- Employment type: Contract, Full-time
- Location: Remote (telecommute)
- Typical travel: <10% (overnight travel may be required occasionally)
- Physical demands: Primarily sedentary with opportunities to move; occasional light lifting
- This position typically reports to a Manager or Senior Manager and has no direct reports
Compensation
- Salary range: $80,000 — $120,000 (USD), as provided by the hiring client
