What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is recruiting an entry-level Cyber Strategy Analyst to support public-sector and government-focused transformation engagements. In this role you will work on teams that assess cyber risk, help shape cybersecurity strategy, and support organizational and operational change to improve security posture and resilience.

• Support project teams with security assessments, research, and data analysis
• Help develop actionable recommendations to reduce risk exposure and strengthen defenses
• Use tools, methodologies, and accelerators to support transformation and implementation activities
• Prepare deliverables (reports, briefings, dashboards) and present findings to clients and internal teams
• Collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders to align security controls with business objectives
• Contribute to project planning, workstream coordination, and quality reviews

Skills & Qualifications

Required (must-have):

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university and expected to graduate by Summer 2027 OR hold a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Security, Mathematics, Risk Management, or equivalent
• 3.0 cumulative GPA required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment
• Reside within a commutable distance (e.g., 100-mile radius) of the assigned office with ability to commute daily, if required
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average, depending on client needs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• Internship, project, or coursework experience in cybersecurity, information security, data analytics, risk management, or related fields
• Demonstrated interest in public sector consulting or mission-driven work

The Team

Confidential Client’s Government & Public Services practice serves federal, state, local government agencies, higher education, and nonprofit organizations. Teams combine strategy, operations, and technology expertise to help clients improve mission outcomes and organizational performance. As an Analyst, you’ll rotate among projects, build consulting skills, and deepen domain expertise in cyber strategy for public-sector clients.

Compensation & Logistics

• Disclosed salary range (estimate): $88,000 to $91,000 per year. This range reflects multiple factors including skills, experience, and geographic adjustments. The final offer will be based on candidate qualifications and applicable policies.
• Employment type: Full-time
• Location: Happy Valley, OR (local commuting expectation)
• Travel: Up to 50% on average
