What You’ll Do
Confidential Client’s Government & Public Services practice is hiring an entry-level Cyber Software Engineering Analyst to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable software solutions that support government and public-sector missions. In this role you will:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, high-quality applications.
- Integrate cloud and emerging technologies to drive innovation and performance improvements.
- Contribute to code reviews, automation, and development best practices.
- Build software with a Cyber Risk perspective—emphasizing security, reliability, and user-centric design.
- Support testing, documentation, and deployment activities that ensure production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply software engineering fundamentals to implement features and fixes for applications used by public-sector clients.
- Participate in technical design, sprint planning, and stand-ups.
- Write clean, well-documented code and help maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated tests.
- Support security-focused development practices and vulnerability mitigation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technical solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university with expected graduation by Summer 2027, or completed bachelor’s degree (Computer Engineering/Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similarly rigorous technical major).
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be at least 18 years of age at time of employment.
- Reside within a commutable distance (e.g., ~100-mile radius) of the assigned Huntsville, AL office with the ability to commute daily if required.
- Willingness/ability to travel up to ~50% depending on client needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher preferred.
- Internship, project, or coursework experience in software engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, secure coding practices, automation (CI/CD), and code review processes.

Compensation & Location
- Employment type: Full time / Permanent.
- Location: Huntsville, AL (on-site and client-facing work as required).
- Reported wage range (disclosed by the source): $100,000 to $103,000 per year. This is a reasonable estimate and may be adjusted based on skills, experience, certifications, and other factors.
