What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Cyber Security & Risk Strategy Consultant to support cyber strategy, assessment, and transformation engagements. In this role you will:
- Support cyber strategy engagements including cyber risk and maturity assessments, target operating model design, and technology risk initiatives.
- Provide PMO support for cyber and technology programs: track milestones, maintain RAID logs (risks, actions, issues, decisions), and coordinate cross-functional workstreams.
- Assist in developing methods, templates, and deliverables for cyber strategy, assessment, and transformation services.
- Assess client cyber and IT environments (infrastructure, databases, applications, workflows, and business processes).
- Help design target operating models: organizational structure, governance, roles & responsibilities, and process design for cyber and technology functions.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive assessment, operating model, and transformation work.
- Deliver project work via research, analysis, documentation, recommendations, and implementation support across domestic and international engagements.
You Should Have
Required
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years’ experience in cybersecurity, information security, or technology risk.
- 2+ years’ experience in consulting, global system integrators, or large enterprise project teams.
- Experience with one or more: cyber risk/maturity assessments, operating model design, or program/project management for cyber/technology initiatives.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, or ISO 27001.
- Ability to travel ~50% on average.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Risk Management, Engineering, or similar.
- Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, PMP, ITIL, CIPM).
- Experience in banking & finance, aviation, transportation, property development, or pharmaceuticals.
- Experience with M&A cyber diligence, carveouts, or integrations.
- Hands-on exposure to GRC tools, IAM solutions, SIEM, or DLP platforms.
- Experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure security practices.
- Experience working with finance, HR, IT and other business workstreams during transformation initiatives.
- PMO experience: program governance, status reporting, stakeholder management.
- Experience designing/implementing target operating models and process reengineering.
Team & Culture
You will join a Cyber Strategy & Transformation practice that develops and transforms cyber programs aligned to client strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite. The team focuses on organizational design, governance, risk assessments, and practical transformation that improves client security posture while enabling business objectives.
Compensation & Other Details
- Recruiting for this role ends on 05/31/2027.
- Salary range (estimate): $82,600 to $162,800 per year. The range reflects multiple factors (experience, skills, certifications, geographic differentials) and may vary based on qualifications.
- You may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program where applicable.
- Travel requirement: approximately 50% (on average).
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
