Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Specialist, Association Services & Customer Support (Contract, Full-Time) in Chicago, IL. This role provides multi-channel technical and customer support for self-service applications, troubleshoots application issues, processes non-automated system transactions, and helps maintain accurate application records. This is an independent contributor role with routine decision-making within established guidelines.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver multi-channel technical and customer support via phone, email, and web for staff, volunteers, and stakeholders using self-service applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues by researching problems, identifying root causes, documenting findings, and following SLAs for timely resolution.
- Process non-automated system transactions to maintain accurate staff records, role assignments, event updates, and other operational data.
- Triage and escalate technical defects and enhancement requests with well-documented use cases, user stories, and exception reports for IT teams.
- Collaborate with IT and internal stakeholders to support system testing, updates, and user training initiatives.
- Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Provide empathetic, professional customer service focused on improving user satisfaction and engagement.
Who You Are / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or a related field required.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (entry-level to foundational).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to software applications.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare concise documentation (use cases, exception reports).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures to maintain data integrity.
- Comfortable working independently with supervision and collaborating cross-functionally.
- Professional, customer-focused approach with the ability to handle multiple inquiries and priorities.
Details & Compensation
- Location: Chicago, IL (on-site / hybrid as required by the Confidential Client)
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Contractor (temporary assignment)
- Duration: This is a temporary position expected to end May 2027.
- Pay Rate: $28.21 per hour; pay range: $28.21 – $33.85 / hour (USD)
