Overview
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring an entry-level Customer Success Manager to support a portfolio of healthcare clients using a cloud-based EHR and practice management suite. This is a client-facing, high-visibility role based in New York focused on driving customer satisfaction, adoption, retention, and expansion for SaaS products.
What You’ll Do
As a Customer Success Manager you will:
- Own day-to-day relationships and act as the trusted point of contact for a book of accounts.
- Conduct regular check-ins and health assessments (e.g., quarterly business reviews) to surface risks and address concerns proactively.
- Monitor customer health signals (usage trends, support ticket volume, renewal timing) and escalate at-risk accounts to leadership.
- Coordinate with Support, Implementation, and Product teams to resolve issues and confirm client satisfaction.
- Analyze product usage to identify underutilized features (e.g., Patient Portal, e-Prescribing, Appointment Reminders) and recommend targeted adoption actions.
- Deliver or coordinate onboarding refreshers, short trainings, webinars, and how-to content.
- Capture and document all client interactions and updates in CRM; keep account plans and contact data current.
- Identify qualified upsell/cross-sell opportunities and hand them off to Sales with clear context; support renewal conversations by demonstrating realized value.
- Maintain an active client reference list and contribute client feedback to Product and Training teams to influence the roadmap.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in customer success, account management, customer support, sales, or related client-facing roles (internships and co-ops count).
- Excellent verbal and written communication — able to explain software concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong organization and attention to detail; comfortable managing multiple accounts and priorities.
- Consultative, curious mindset with a focus on solving client workflow problems.
- Comfortable with (or eager to learn) CRM and customer-success tooling (Salesforce, HubSpot, Gainsight, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience or familiarity with healthcare operations, medical practice workflows, EHR / practice management software, or SaaS.
- Prior exposure to upsell/cross-sell or renewal-focused activities.
- Experience with customer health scoring or usage analytics tools.
