Customer Service Representative
The Customer Service Representative supports Financial Professionals and internal partners by managing high volumes of inbound calls related to annuity purchases via the Annuity Order Entry platform. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, detailed knowledge of annuity products, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service while adhering to structured schedules and compliance standards. The position is hybrid, based in San Diego, CA, and focuses on accurate processing, issue resolution, and collaboration with internal teams to support financial advisors effectively.

What You’ll Do
This role supports Financial Advisors, their assistants, and internal business partners in the purchase and processing of annuities via an Annuity Order Entry platform. You will be part of a specialized customer service team handling a high inbound-call volume and focused on providing accurate, timely, and compliant support.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Handle 100% inbound calls (approx. 40–50 calls/day) from Financial Advisors, their assistants, and internal partners.
- Support annuity application processing, corrections, and related issue resolution on the Annuity Order Entry system.
- Provide clear, up-to-date information on annuity products, policies, and system navigation.
- Document interactions and resolutions thoroughly and in compliance with internal procedures.
- Escalate complex or compliance-related issues to appropriate teams and collaborate for timely resolution.
- Maintain and expand working knowledge of annuity products and platform processes.
- Adapt to operational or compliance changes and share improvements with the team.

Required / preferred qualifications:
- 2+ years of customer service or client support experience (call-center experience strongly preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines while following established schedules.
- Comfortable working in a structured, high-volume inbound call environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in financial services, investments, or annuities is a plus.
- Licenses/certifications preferred: SIE; Series 6 and/or Series 7.
- Familiarity with MS Office and common CRM/platform tools is helpful.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $24.13 per hour (hourly rate disclosed per applicable California pay-transparency guidance).
- Employment type: Contract-to-hire; full-time.
