Overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring a Customer Experience Associate in Frisco, TX. This entry-level customer success role owns an assigned book of business and focuses on proactive health monitoring, escalation management, and cancelation mitigation to protect and grow customer value. The position reports into the Customer Experience organization with a defined career path toward Customer Experience Manager.


What You’ll Do

  • Independently manage an assigned book of business as the primary day-to-day contact for customers.
  • Monitor customer health indicators (usage trends, engagement, support activity, sentiment) and prioritize accounts needing proactive outreach.
  • Conduct cadence calls to check account health, surface concerns, and reinforce product value.
  • Identify risk trends and develop mitigation plans, collaborating with Support, Product, and internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Own escalations for assigned accounts and maintain transparent, timely communication through resolution.
  • Respond quickly to cancellation signals, implement save/win-back strategies, and track retention outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, activity notes, and account health status.
  • Capture and relay customer feedback to internal stakeholders to help improve products and services.
  • Participate in onboarding and training; progressively take on larger and more complex accounts.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years in a customer-facing role (customer service, support, account management, hospitality, or similar); internships in customer success are a plus.
  • Ability to manage a book of business independently and exercise sound judgment on when to escalate.
  • Comfortable conducting difficult conversations, including retention and cancellation discussions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts.
  • Proactive, curious mindset focused on helping customers succeed.
  • Quick to learn new software tools and processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to Have / Preferred

  • Experience in energy, oil & gas, or other asset-intensive industry software.
  • Familiarity with CRM and customer success platforms.
  • Experience supporting customers across multiple products or lines of business.

Employment & Other Requirements

  • Employment eligibility to work in the United States is required; Confidential Client will not sponsor work visas for this position.
  • This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
  • Typical office/desk work with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use; ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
