Location & Compensation
Confidential Client (Accounting & Finance) — San Diego, CA (hybrid)
- Duration: 12 months (Contract; contract-to-hire possible)
- Schedule: 40 hours/week, 1st shift — typical start time 7:00 or 7:30 AM
- Work model: Hybrid (set days in the office, other days remote)
- Pay: $20–25 / hour (W2)
What You’ll Do
This role supports the GCOG Portfolio Team, focusing on federal accounts and related billing/reconciliation activities.
- Manage federal accounts receivable balances and reconcile accounts.
- Prepare and submit invoices and support the collections process.
- Investigate and resolve billing and account discrepancies.
- Use Excel extensively (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and other functions) for analysis and reporting.
- Support process improvement initiatives and participate in projects to increase efficiency.
- Work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in reconciliation, accounting, finance, or data analysis.
- Intermediate Excel skills — more than basic familiarity; comfort with formulas, pivot tables, and data functions.
- Experience with account reconciliation, invoice submission, or collections preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, contribute to team projects, and proactively improve processes.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
