What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Custodial Supervisor to oversee GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) cleaning and facilities operations on the assigned shift. This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for coaching team members, ensuring sanitation and safety compliance, and maintaining accurate operational records.

  • Shift: Night (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
  • Compensation: $65,000 – $70,000 per year (range provided by client)
  • Reports to: Site Manager or Operations Lead (Confidential Client)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and coach custodial and temporary staff on tasks, safety procedures, and site SOPs (standard operating procedures).
  • Perform and oversee daily sanitation and GMP routines to meet regulatory and client standards.
  • Conduct quality, service, and safety inspections; correct at‑risk behavior immediately and report incidents as required.
  • Monitor PPE use and enforce OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Coordinate and monitor daily work activities; provide feedback, recommend training, and administer discipline in accordance with company policy.
  • Prepare and maintain written reports (pass-downs, weekly/monthly updates, inspection logs).
  • Track equipment and supplies inventory; schedule maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Maintain training, attendance, inspection, and metric records.
  • Escalate personnel or customer issues to management and recommend corrective actions.
  • Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Facilities Management, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of relevant education, technical training, certifications, and progressive supervisory experience will be considered.
  • Prior experience supervising janitorial, facilities, or operations teams—demonstrated leadership and coaching ability.
  • Familiarity with GMP, sanitation standards, OSHA regulations, and site SOP compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare clear reports and pass-downs.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds and perform routine physical tasks related to facility operations.

Supervisory & Legal Responsibilities

  • This position carries standard supervisory duties including interviewing, hiring, assigning work, performance evaluations, discipline, and resolving complaints in accordance with company policy and applicable law. Ensure team members receive required safety and task training.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Frequent sitting, talking, and listening; routine physical activity and occasional lifting (up to 35 lbs).
  • Work environment may include exposure to cleaning materials, equipment, and normal manufacturing or facility conditions. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as required by law.
