Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Credit Analyst to provide analytical support for underwriting and managing commercial lending relationships. This is an onsite, full-time role based in Vinnings / Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on financial statement analysis, credit approval documentation, covenant monitoring, and supporting Portfolio and Relationship Managers in portfolio oversight.


Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyze financial statements to support underwriting of commercial & industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate loans.
  • Prepare financial spreads, credit analysis documents, and industry research used in credit decisions.
  • Update and maintain loan requests, renewals, modifications, and annual reviews in the commercial loan system.
  • Calculate credit exposure, accurately record loan terms, collateral, covenants, loan grades, and policy exceptions in the loan system.
  • Track covenant monitoring and record financial statements for assigned relationships.
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers to monitor portfolio performance and escalate material changes or trends.
  • Present analysis and findings in internal relationship team meetings and, when appropriate, in external client meetings.
  • Participate in portfolio management projects and internal credit discussions with credit officers and senior management.
  • Demonstrate ownership of portfolio metrics, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–2 years of related experience in Financial Services, Banking, Credit Analysis, Loan Review, or similar preferred.
  • Familiarity with commercial lending processes and general bank operations.
  • Practical experience or familiarity with financial statement spreading and credit analysis methodologies.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain financial analysis to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in a Credit Analyst II or equivalent role is a plus.
