Overview

Confidential Client (a community bank) is hiring a Credit Analyst in Peoria, IL. This role supports underwriting and portfolio monitoring for commercial and agricultural lending, prepares clear credit memoranda, and partners with loan officers. Strong entry-level candidates with 1–3 years of relevant exposure in banking, credit unions, or Farm Credit are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze business and personal financial statements, tax returns and cash flow
• Spread financials, calculate ratios and global cash flow
• Prepare clear, well‑reasoned credit memos with risk ratings
• Partner with loan officers on loan structure, collateral and covenants
• Monitor the loan portfolio: annual reviews, covenant compliance and loan file documentation
• Support exam and loan‑review preparation

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of credit analysis, underwriting or lending support at a bank, credit union or Farm Credit (strong entry‑level candidates considered)
• Solid accounting and financial analysis skills; comfortable using spreading software and Excel
• Clear, concise writing and strong attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, ag business or related field; formal credit training is a plus
• Professional, collaborative approach and a desire to grow into lending or credit leadership
