What You’ll Do

As a Credit Analyst on a Commercial & Industrial (C&I) General Industries Banking team, you will perform financial statement analysis and prepare credit studies that support lending decisions for lower middle market and middle market clients (typical revenue > $20M). This is an early-career, hands-on role that provides exposure to credit administration, loan packaging, and cross-functional bank products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Spread, manage, and maintain financial background information on existing and prospective customers.
  • Prepare credit studies, loan packages, and credit department reports for loan officers and credit leadership.
  • Analyze client financials and perform sensitivity and collateral analyses to evaluate credit risk.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support treasury management products, foreign exchange, derivatives and associated legal documentation.
  • Monitor loan disbursements and ensure compliance with loan covenants and bank policies.
  • Coordinate with third parties (appraisers, field auditors) and respond to client inquiries regarding compliance and operational items.

What You’ll Need

  • Completion of an Accounting course.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0.
  • Strong analytical and financial statement analysis skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills appropriate for an entry-level role.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work productively with limited supervision.
  • Interest in building a career in commercial banking and credit analysis.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay for new hires is generally $36.30 per hour for this role (applies to Hayes Valley / San Francisco area locations). Salary is determined by the specific job location and may be eligible for annual bonus or incentive programs.
