CRE Credit Analyst

What You’ll Do
This role supports the commercial real estate (CRE) lending team at a confidential client. You will learn credit analysis and underwriting while supporting loan decisions and portfolio monitoring.
- Gather and analyze financial statements, tax returns, rent rolls, and other business information to assess creditworthiness for CRE loans.
- Prepare written credit evaluations summarizing borrowers’ financial condition, collateral quality, and relationship risks.
- Collect, organize, and follow up on required loan documentation.
- Monitor ongoing financial reporting and loan covenant compliance; analyze periodic financial and loan performance data.
- Support the credit team on portfolio reviews and special projects.
- Contribute to a learning path that may lead to portfolio manager or relationship manager roles with sales responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet research tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or work experience in finance, banking, or commercial real estate preferred.
- Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Motivation for customer service and achievement of goals.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple tasks.
- Willingness to complete required training programs as designated by management (see Training & Travel below).
Training, Travel & Work Arrangement
- This entry-level role will require successful completion of a multi-week credit training program (Credit College) in the timeframe set by management.
- The role may require periodic travel within the client’s operating footprint.
- Workplace type: Office with some flexible/remote arrangements possible depending on team and responsibilities. Specific work arrangement will be provided by the hiring team.
