What You’ll Do

You will support cost estimating and life‑cycle cost analysis for a defense acquisition program at Redstone Arsenal, AL. Responsibilities include:

• Under supervision, develop, present, and defend mathematical cost estimates, cost estimating relationships (CERs), and cost models.
• Use applied mathematics, probability, statistics, regression analysis, linear algebra, and learning-curve methods to develop CERs.
• Use data analytics to collect and analyze cost inputs (e.g., DD Form 1921, CPR/IPMR) to build and maintain a credible cost database.
• Support Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCE) and maintain cost models for acquisition programs.
• Participate in Business Case Analysis (BCA), Analysis of Alternatives (AOA), sensitivity analysis, what‑if drills, Monte Carlo simulations, and other risk/cost studies.
• Review Cost Analysis Requirements Documents (CARDS) and support cost research and technical baseline data management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a closely related math-based discipline.
• No prior professional experience required; this is an entry-level role for candidates with a math-based bachelor’s degree.
• Exceptional analytical ability and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Strong Excel and MS Office skills (advanced spreadsheet modeling encouraged).
• Experience or interest in cost-modeling tools and Monte Carlo simulation.
• Membership or certification with the International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association (ICEAA) is a plus.
• Self-starter attitude and ability to work collaboratively with technical and program teams.

Compensation & Location

• Location: Redstone Arsenal, AL (work onsite at this location unless otherwise specified).
• Estimated salary: $134,770 per year (estimated).
• Employment type: Full-time.
