Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the acquisition pipeline in the Confidential Client’s CRM — update target records, deal stages, NDA status, and banker/broker outreach tracking.
• Assist in identifying, researching, and screening acquisition targets; prepare target profiles and materials for introductory calls.
• Spread target financial statements into the Confidential Client’s databook and valuation model; assist with profitability, growth trend analysis, and EBITDA adjustments.
• Support preparation of internal question lists, analysis summaries, and IOI/LOI materials for review by the deal team and subject-matter experts.
• Coordinate data collection and review during due diligence — organize data rooms, maintain request trackers, and liaise with third‑party diligence providers (quality of earnings, tax, insurance, benefits, legal, environmental).
• Support closing activities, including Net Working Capital calculations, Flow of Funds, and Closing Statement preparation in coordination with counsel.
• Assist post-close integration planning and tracking (100‑day plans, budget support, true‑up/closing statement reconciliation).
• Build and maintain reporting and analytics in Excel and Power BI; leverage data and AI-assisted analysis tools to speed and improve deal evaluation.
• Contribute to other strategic or critical projects for the Corporate Development team as needed.

Education & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• 1–2 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, transaction advisory/valuation, public accounting, or FP&A. Internship or limited deal experience is acceptable.
• Strong financial modeling and analysis aptitude; advanced Excel required. Power BI (or similar) is a plus.
• Comfortable working with modern data and AI-assisted analysis tools, or a demonstrated eagerness to learn them.
• Strong organizational skills and a professional presence when interacting with sellers, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.

Role Development & Growth

• This is a development seat with a defined growth path toward a Senior M&A Analyst role.
• The Analyst will gain end‑to‑end acquisition experience and progressively own target analysis, valuation, and diligence project management.
• Expect hands‑on exposure to FP&A and controllership projects to broaden financial skillsets and business partnering capability.
