Program Overview

Confidential Client's CORE (Optical Rotational Engineering) Program is a one-year, entry-level rotational program designed for recent engineering graduates. Participants complete four rotations across manufacturing, operations, and engineering functions to build technical skills, leadership experience, and cross-functional business knowledge. Start dates are offered in January, April, June, and September.


What You’ll Do

Confidential Client's CORE participants will:

  • Complete four 3-month rotations across Manufacturing & Operations ("Make" track) and Innovation & Design ("Invent" track)
  • Work on production team leadership, process engineering, division engineering, planning & scheduling, development, and engineering services projects
  • Lead or contribute to project work that delivers measurable process, quality, or product improvements
  • Participate in mentorship, leadership development, and experiential learning activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and company leaders to solve technical and operational challenges

Program Requirements & Travel

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field completed by the date of hire
  • Willingness to travel within the U.S. for rotational assignments (training may include Charlotte, Hickory, Wilmington, Winston-Salem, Concord)
  • Hours and schedule will vary by rotation and discipline

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (must be completed by hire date)
  • Demonstrated academic achievement or strong professional performance
  • Willingness to relocate or travel between U.S. sites during the program
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred

  • Previous engineering internship or relevant hands-on experience
  • Interest in manufacturing & operations leadership or innovation & design
  • Evidence of leadership (academic, professional, or community)
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, adaptability, and analytical skills
  • Experience or interest in continuous improvement methodologies

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range (full-time equivalent): $69,146 - $95,076 per year (starting pay depends on location, experience, and education)
