Position Overview
Our confidential client is seeking a Cook Supervisor to join their Restaurant Foods kitchen team in Liverpool, NY. This is an entry-level structured training role designed to develop culinary leaders: you’ll learn on the line, support kitchen operations, coach cooks, and progress to a Lead Cook role upon successful completion of the program.
What You’ll Do
- Assist the Sous Chef in running day-to-day kitchen operations and manage staff in the Sous Chef’s absence.
- Follow recipes and standard cooking techniques to ensure consistent, high-quality food production.
- Train, mentor, and provide feedback to prep and line cooks to develop skills and maintain standards.
- Communicate product knowledge and meal solutions to customers and cross-functional teams.
- Help maintain food safety, quality assurance, and cost controls to support profitability.
- Participate in a structured 6-month training program with mentor support; placement as a Lead Cook follows program completion.
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years’ experience as a prep or line cook.
- Knowledge of food safety and quality assurance practices.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts.
- Experience in multi-faceted foodservice settings (restaurants, hotels, clubs, conference centers, casinos, theme parks, etc.).
Schedule & Compensation
- Employment type: Full time.
- Schedule: Morning, afternoon, evening availability; includes weekends.
- Pay: $21.75 - $22.50 per hour.
- Location: Liverpool, NY (7519 Oswego Road).
