What You’ll Do

We are partnering with a Confidential Client in the Engineering industry to recruit multiple Controls Engineer positions based in Cascade, MI (serving the Grand Rapids area and nearby cities such as Holland, Muskegon, and Kalamazoo). Roles range from entry-level Controls Engineer to Lead Controls and Engineering Manager. Most positions are permanent, full-time, and require minimal travel.

Responsibilities:

• Provide electrical and controls solutions for automation, process, assembly, or material handling equipment.
• Design, develop, and program PLC and HMI software to meet system requirements.
• Program, troubleshoot, and modify automation machines, including robotics and vision systems.
• Support machine start-up, commissioning, and provide technical assistance on site.
• Serve as a Project Engineer for control system projects from design through handoff.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum and preferred qualifications:

• Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered.
• Hands-on experience programming PLCs and HMIs.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens platforms preferred.
• Experience integrating robotics, vision systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, SCADA, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks Electrical is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Must be a US Citizen or possess a valid Green Card (per client requirement).

• Base salary range: $70,000 to $140,000 per year (range depends on experience and specific role level)
