What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Controls-focused Electrical Engineer to join their power-generation engineering team in Salt Lake City, UT. As a Controls Electrical Engineer Salt Lake City, UT, you will support safe, reliable, and efficient operations by contributing to controls and electrical engineering projects across the facility.

You will:

  • Assist with electrical and controls engineering projects and systems integration
  • Support smaller projects and defined portions of larger capital or maintenance projects
  • Investigate technical issues and develop cost-effective, code-compliant solutions
  • Assist with engineering studies, field testing, and troubleshooting of control systems
  • Prepare design recommendations, technical documentation, and improved procedures
  • Work hands-on with plant personnel and experienced engineers to implement and validate solutions

What You Bring

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
  • Electrical engineering background strongly preferred
  • Controls experience, coursework, or exposure (PLC/RTU logic, control system fundamentals)

Preferred

  • Internship or co-op experience in the energy or utilities industry
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
  • Experience with electrical, instrumentation, controls, or power generation systems
