What You’ll Do

The Confidential Client is seeking a Contract Oncology Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care in an outpatient oncology setting. This is a Monday–Friday, day-shift role focused on patient education, care coordination, documentation, and clinical support for oncology patients.

• Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and providers to ensure continuity of care
• Report test results and follow up with providers as needed
• Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, side-effect management, and follow-up care
• Coordinate communication among multidisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation in the electronic health record
• Provide telephone triage and patient support when required
• Perform administrative duties related to patient visits and treatment plans
• Support patient navigation and care coordination across the healthcare system

Qualifications (Required)

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN required as noted)
• Active RN license in the state of practice (Indiana RN or Compact License accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 180 days of hire
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
• Strong documentation and electronic health record skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities

Preferred / Desired Skills

• Oncology experience or outpatient clinic/infusion therapy experience
• IV/Infusion Therapy knowledge
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration knowledge
• Compassionate patient care and excellent customer-service skills
• Ability to problem-solve and manage challenging situations professionally

Schedule & Location

This is a Contract position based onsite in Memphis, IN. Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
• Earn travel pay: $2,500 - $2,800 (as advertised)
• Eligible temporary-role benefits may include (if applicable): medical, dental & vision; voluntary life & AD&D; short- and long-term disability; HSA; 401(k) options; employee assistance program; and paid time off—subject to eligibility and plan terms.
• Final pay offer within the range will depend on qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; frequent lifting up to 25 pounds
• Frequent patient interaction, including potential exposure to body fluids and hazardous medications
• Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations
