Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking candidates for Associate Contract Administrator or Contract Administrator roles in Redondo Beach, CA. These full-time positions support contract administration activities for the Deployables Operating Unit within the client’s space/defense-related programs. The roles involve administering, negotiating, and managing contract lifecycle tasks, supporting proposal work, and ensuring contractual compliance.


What You’ll Do

  • Administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Support proposal preparation and prepare written communications for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track and report on contract progress, advise management on contractual rights and obligations, and maintain historical contract records.
  • Enter and maintain contract data in Contract Management and/or Enterprise Accounting systems.
  • Assist management with financial goals related to cash management and sales.
  • Ensure timely delivery of contractual deliverables and submission of invoices.
  • Work under general supervision to develop solutions that ensure company compliance with contract requirements.
  • Travel up to ~10% as required.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications for Associate Contract Administrator (entry level)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 0–2 years of related experience.
  • Degree fields typically include Accounting, Finance, Business Administration/Management, Economics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Contract Management, Government Contracting, Legal Studies, Pre-Law, or similar.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong desire to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Basic qualifications for Contract Administrator

  • Completion or pursuit of a Master’s degree (0 years experience required) or equivalent credentials as listed above.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to meet high-performance expectations and contribute to a contracts team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher (where applicable).
  • Previous internship or work experience related to contracts or administration.
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Self-driven with a strong learning mindset and ability to work autonomously on complex projects.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range (role-dependent): $63,000 — $113,800 per year (range covers Associate through Contract Administrator levels).
  • The actual offer will depend on role, experience, education, skills, and market factors.
  • May be eligible for overtime, discretionary bonuses, and other program-specific incentives.
  • Benefits typically include health insurance, life/disability coverage, retirement/savings plans, paid time off, and company holidays.

Location & Travel

  • Position location: Redondo Beach, CA.
  • On-site work at the Redondo Beach facility is expected; travel is approximately 10% of the time.
