Position summary

Confidential Client seeks an entry-level Contract Administrator I to support international direct commercial sales contracts. In this role you will assist with proposal reviews, initial contract preparation, negotiation support, export classification checks, and contract administration to help secure contract award and fulfillment in accordance with policy.


What You’ll Do

  • Support review of customer requests for proposals and ensure compliance with company policy and solicitation requirements.
  • Assist in identifying contract issues and develop recommended solutions.
  • Participate in negotiating and modifying standard and non-standard contracts and subcontracts.
  • Draft and support negotiation of NDAs, teaming agreements, licenses, and MOUs.
  • Interface with Legal and cross-functional teams to prepare contracts for review and approval.
  • Verify export classification and foreign restrictions; maintain awareness of regulatory changes affecting contracts.
  • Maintain and update electronic and hard-copy contract records and dashboards.
  • Provide negotiation support, customer-facing responses, and internal presentations as required.
  • May provide direction to contract support staff and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (Entry-Level).
  • Basic understanding of acquisition principles, contract practices, techniques, and standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; able to document findings clearly for internal stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively across functions and levels.
  • Proficiency with common office software; working knowledge of SAP is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; may require extended hours and occasional travel (0%–25%).
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Compensation & Location

  • Location: Poway, CA (Poway, California — based on authoritative job location)
  • Employment type: Full-Time
  • Salary range (as provided): $51,650 – $87,290 per year
  • Work arrangement: Telecommute / Remote available (job supports telecommute) — please note U.S. Citizenship requirement
  • This role may require adherence to export control and other regulatory requirements.
