Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Continuous Improvement Engineer to support and lead process improvement initiatives across manufacturing and business operations in Orlando, FL. This full-time engineering role applies Lean methodologies, process mapping, data analysis, and structured problem-solving to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and overall performance. What You’ll Do
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects across manufacturing, operations, and business processes.
- Facilitate process mapping activities (SIPOC, swim lanes), document current-state conditions, identify gaps, and develop future-state recommendations.
- Create and maintain standard work, work instructions, job aids, visual management, data-collection templates, and RASIC inputs.
- Participate in shop floor improvement meetings; follow up on actions to ensure accountability and closure.
- Use basic statistical analysis to collect, organize, and interpret process data to identify root causes and measure impact.
- Communicate project plans, risks, findings, and results to stakeholders at all levels.
- Validate processes with stakeholders, identify decision points and pain points, and support standardization across teams.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, Operations Management, or related technical discipline required.
- Entry-level candidates, recent graduates, and early-career professionals are encouraged to apply; internship, co-op, or project experience preferred.
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical documents, procedures, process maps, and standard work instructions.
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with basic statistical methods for process data.
- Working knowledge or exposure to Lean tools (5S, value stream mapping, SIPOC, root cause analysis), Six Sigma concepts preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI, or similar tools preferred.
- Ability to lead small-to-moderate projects with guidance: create action plans, track milestones, and report status.
- Demonstrated initiative, fast learning, cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and travel up to 30% as required.
