What You’ll Do
Confidential Client seeks a Consumer Services Coordinator to provide information, advocacy, and service coordination for individuals and families served by regional programs. This is a community-based, part-time role focused on person-centered planning and connecting people to services that meet their needs.
- Participate in the development, monitoring, and revision of individual program plans
- Identify and coordinate services with families, community providers, and support agencies
- Complete required documentation, forms, and reports in accordance with regulations and internal policies
- Serve as an advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities when interacting with community agencies
- Schedule and attend interdisciplinary meetings with individuals, families, and service providers
- Identify barriers to service delivery and implement culturally sensitive strategies that emphasize empathy, trust, and respect
- Rotate officer-of-the-day duties with other coordinators and provide case coverage and emergency on-call services as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or a related human services field AND at least two years of relevant experience; OR
- Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for the experience requirement
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities and family systems
- Commitment to person-centered planning and empowering individuals to meet their goals
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Word and MS Outlook
- Bilingual Spanish may be required depending on the specific position
Requirements & Work Environment
- Community-based position: frequent in-home, community, virtual, and office meetings
- Comfortable working with a high degree of independence in non-traditional settings when required
- Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation (or acceptable substitute) required
- Position may include emergency on-call coverage and rotating duties
- Most positions offer hybrid/remote options depending on assignment
- This role is part-time; benefit eligibility and contributions are prorated accordingly
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly range: $26.86 – $37.96 per hour (non-exempt)
- Typical starting salary for new hires: $26.86 – $29.65 per hour depending on internal equity and experience
- Benefits may include health and dental plans with employer contributions, vision, life and disability insurance, CalPERS retirement membership, deferred compensation (457 and 403b), flexible spending accounts, participation in Public Service Loan Forgiveness, paid time off, and 12 paid holidays (pro-rated for part-time staff)
