What You’ll Do

As an entry-level Consulting Analyst for our confidential client in the engineering industry, you will support client engagements by gathering data, performing basic analyses, and contributing to client deliverables under direction from engagement managers.

  • Use recognized consulting methods and templates to produce work products within assigned engagement phases
  • Collect, clean, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to support recommendations
  • Contribute to written reports, slide decks, and presentations with clear analysis and insights
  • Support multiple projects at once and pursue engagement objectives set by senior staff
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of consulting methods, tools, and templates
  • Meet billable hours expectations as defined in annual goals
  • Operate as an individual contributor with no direct reports

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project teams by performing primary and secondary research, data analysis, and documentation
  • Translate analysis into concise findings and recommendations for project leads
  • Apply appropriate technical or industry methods for assigned tasks
  • Communicate progress and escalate issues to team leads when needed
  • Maintain project files, version control, and documentation best practices
  • Take direction from engagement management and participate in team meetings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or project experience in engineering or engineering consulting preferred
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (if applicable)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop functional or technical knowledge in at least one industry or solution area
  • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making ability on multi-dimensional issues
  • Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills in team settings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and general PC literacy
  • Consultant skills such as business acumen, comfort presenting to senior stakeholders, adaptability, and learning agility

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science, preferably in business, math, engineering, or a related field — OR equivalent relevant business experience
  • 0–2 years’ experience in a business or consulting environment
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search) in compliance with applicable laws

  • Hybrid/flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days based on manager discretion, performance, and job requirements
  • Typical duties will be office- and client-facing with occasional travel as needed

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary range (posted per local pay-transparency laws): $69,525 — $96,860
  • Estimated market salary shown on some sources: ~$75,650/year (estimate)
