About the Role

Confidential client is hiring an entry-level Consulting Analyst to support consulting engagements within the Engineering practice. In this role you will gather data, perform basic analyses, and help produce client deliverables under the direction of team leaders and engagement managers. This position is full-time and located in Chicago, IL. The role may offer hybrid or flexible work options after the first 90 days, based on manager discretion and job duties.


What You’ll Do

  • Use recognized consulting methods to deliver work products within an engagement phase under supervision
  • Gather, clean, and analyze data to support reports and recommendations
  • Contribute to the production of written deliverables and slide decks with basic analysis
  • Pursue engagement objectives and support project planning and tracking
  • Support development of improved consulting methods, tools, and templates
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet agreed billable targets
  • Operate as an individual contributor with guidance from project leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or project experience on an engineering project or in an engineering consulting environment preferred
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (if recent graduate)
  • Ability to develop functional or technical knowledge in at least one industry or solution area
  • Demonstrated decision-making and problem-framing skills
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and general PC literacy
  • Consultant mindset: business acumen, comfort interacting with senior stakeholders, adaptability, and fast learning

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (preferably business, math, engineering) OR relevant business experience
  • 0–2 years of experience in a business or consulting environment
  • Ability to complete pre-employment screening where permitted and required (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search, etc.)

Work Environment & Compensation

  • Location: Chicago, IL (on-site/hybrid as determined by role and manager)
  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Relocation eligible: Yes (per the confidential client’s policy)

  • Compensation range for this location: $69,525.00–$96,860.00 per year (annual range provided in accordance with local law)
