What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Finance Technology Analyst to join their Government & Public Services (IT) practice in Sacramento, CA. As part of a client service team you will support financial and non-financial accounting and reporting improvements, help modernize accounting capabilities, and apply technology and analytics to increase accuracy and efficiency.

  • Support stakeholders with accounting, reporting, and internal control challenges
  • Assist with design and implementation of finance technology solutions and automation
  • Help integrate data analytics to improve financial decision-making and reporting
  • Participate in system configuration, process documentation, and testing
  • Support process improvement and change management activities for clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver client-facing workstreams
  • Prepare clear deliverables and communicate findings to team members and clients
  • Travel to client sites as required (up to ~50% on average)

Qualifications

Required:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university expected to graduate by Summer 2027, or possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Finance Technology, Information Systems, Technology Management, or equivalent
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Reside within a commutable distance (e.g., ~100-mile radius) of the assigned Sacramento office with ability to commute daily if required
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at time of employment

Preferred:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher
  • Internship, project, or coursework experience in business analytics, computer science, finance technology, information systems, or technology management

This role offers hands-on consulting experience, collaborative mentorship, and exposure to a variety of client environments.


Compensation & Location

  • Location: Sacramento, CA (commutable distance required)
  • Estimated annual salary range: $88,000 to $91,000 (reasonable estimate; final offer depends on skills, experience, and other factors)
  • Employment type: Full time (entry-level/permanent)
  • Typical travel: Up to 50% (client-dependent)
  • This is an entry-level opportunity intended for candidates beginning or building a career in finance technology and consulting.
