Position overview

Confidential Client seeks an Analyst — Business Analytics to join its Government & Public Services-focused IT practice in Rosslyn, VA. This is an entry-level consulting opportunity (or early-career hire) for candidates who want to turn data into actionable insights that support public-sector transformation and mission outcomes.


What you’ll do

As a Business Analytics Analyst you will:

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to convert data into insights that inform client decisions.
  • Support research, data collection, cleansing, and management for analytics projects.
  • Run statistical analyses, build and validate models, and interpret results for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prepare visualizations, reports, and briefings to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional teams across strategy, operations, and technology to deliver client value.
  • Contribute to project workstreams, lead small tasks or analyses, and help ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Support opportunities for specialization in areas such as data science, business intelligence, or advanced analytics techniques.

The team

You will join a Government & Public Services team serving agencies, higher education, nonprofits, and other public-sector organizations. Teams work across strategy, operations, and technology to drive improved mission outcomes and organizational performance. Expect a collaborative, growth-oriented environment with hands-on client exposure.


Minimum qualifications (Required)

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university with expected graduation by Summer 2027 OR completed bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting/Finance, Analytics, Applied Math, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Reside within a commutable distance (e.g., ~100-mile radius) of the assigned office with ability to commute daily if required.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% on average, depending on client needs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (where required).
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.

Preferred qualifications

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
  • Internship, project, or coursework experience in analytics, data science, applied math, computer science, statistics, or finance.
  • Experience with statistical tools, visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & location

  • Estimated base salary range: $88,000 - $91,000 per year (range reflects factors such as experience, skills, and location; final offer subject to candidate qualifications and business needs).
  • Primary work location: Rosslyn, VA (on-site or hybrid depending on client needs).
