What You’ll Do

This entry-level Actuarial Analyst role is part of a consultative actuarial team supporting client engagements across industries. You will apply quantitative methods and modeling to help clients measure and manage risk, support decision-making, and deliver client-ready analysis.

  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced consulting environment engaging with clients across industries, disciplines, and geographies.
  • Collaborate with engagement teams to build financial and mathematical models that support business decisions.
  • Analyze and interpret large datasets using statistical methods to quantify risk and recommend solutions.
  • Contribute to work in one or more actuarial practice areas such as Health, Property & Casualty, Life, Rewards & Wellbeing, or Mergers & Acquisitions.
  • Prepare clear written analyses, slide decks, and presentations for internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and other tools to manipulate data, create models, and document assumptions.
  • Support project tasks independently and as part of cross-functional teams; adapt quickly to changing client needs.

The Team

You’ll join a consulting-focused actuarial team that embeds technical and technology-driven insights into client problems. Engagement teams balance delivering client value with mentoring and developing talent and contributing to the broader community.


Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Spring/Summer 2027 with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
  • Strong academic performance (3.0 cumulative GPA required; 3.2 cumulative GPA preferred).
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Able to travel up to 50% on average, depending on client needs.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at time of employment.
  • Reside within a commutable distance of the assigned office (example: ~100-mile radius) with the ability to commute daily if required upon start.
  • Solid proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Windows-based systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of at least one exam offered by the Society of Actuaries (SOA), Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), or comparable organization prior to July 1, 2027.
  • Prior internship or project experience with actuarial modeling, statistical analysis, or related consulting work is a plus.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new concepts, frameworks, and technologies quickly.

Compensation & Employment Details

  • Employment type: Full-time, Permanent.
  • Location: Chicago, IL (onsite or commutable to assigned office as required).
