Role summary
Confidential Client is seeking an entry- to mid-level Consultant to support human health risk assessment and community health projects in the Princeton Junction, NJ office. This is a hybrid role with at least two days per week onsite. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; no sponsorship is available.
What You’ll Do
You will join multidisciplinary teams to perform technical activities that support contaminated-site investigations, community health evaluations, and regulatory projects.
- Support compilation, organization, and quality control of environmental and health data
- Perform statistical and geospatial analyses of environmental and health datasets
- Evaluate fate and transport of contaminants and estimate human exposures across media (air, soil, water, sediment, fish tissue, produce)
- Calculate risk estimates and assist with exposure and risk assessment modeling
- Assist in technical report writing, preparation of presentations, proposals, and regulatory deliverables
- Review scientific literature, regulations, and technical guidance
- Coordinate with project teams and contribute to clear technical communication with clients and stakeholders
Qualifications
Successful candidates typically have:
- Advanced degree (M.S., MPH, or equivalent) in Environmental Science/Engineering, Environmental Health Science, or Environmental Toxicology; exceptional candidates with a bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years’ relevant experience may be considered
- Minimum of 2 years of undergraduate chemistry coursework
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and time management skills
- Current authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship)
Preferred skills
- Knowledge of human health risk assessment, exposure assessment, and fate & transport principles
- Experience with statistical/data analysis (R, Python, SAS, or SQL)
- Familiarity with relational databases (MS Access, SQL) for environmental data management
- GIS experience for spatial analysis
- Prior experience reviewing technical literature, guidance, and regulatory documents
Compensation & benefits
- Anticipated base salary range: $75,603 - $94,504 per year (salary varies by location, experience, and other factors)
