About the Role
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Sales Estimator & Project Coordinator to support commercial sales activities and pre-construction workflows in Jessup, MD. This hands-on role focuses on project take-offs, building accurate estimates, and assembling submittal packages. Strong attention to detail and an eagerness to learn construction estimating and coordination processes will set you up for rapid career growth into Sales, Estimating, or Project Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform project take-offs from architectural plans, drawings, and project specifications.
- Build comprehensive bid packages and request vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Prepare accurate, detailed project estimates for review by the sales team.
- Maintain organized records of take-offs, estimates, and bid notes.
- Prepare pre-construction submittal packages and coordinate customer reviews and approvals.
- Draft and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify drawings/specifications.
- Support Commercial Sales Representatives and the Sales Director with additional pre-construction and sales tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- No prior professional experience required—robust on-the-job training provided.
- Familiarity with architectural plans and construction drawings preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Quick ability to absorb new industry concepts and technical details.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfortable learning new software platforms.
