What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring for an entry-level Construction Project Engineer to support on-site construction management activities in Manhattan, NY. You will work closely with field leadership and project teams to help ensure projects are built to plan, on schedule, and to quality standards.
- Assist with planning and coordinating subcontractor activities within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Monitor subcontractor personnel for adherence to project plans and quality control of installations.
- Help oversee construction trades and crafts on-site and escalate issues to superintendents or project managers.
- Produce and maintain project documentation: RFIs, submittals, updated drawings, meeting minutes, logs, and other project records using document control and project management systems.
- Interface, when requested, with clients, architects, and design professionals to confirm compliance with design intent.
- Enforce field policies, procedures, and safety requirements as directed by field management.
- Foster clear communications between field management, project management, subcontractors, suppliers and specialty contractors.
- Continuously expand technical knowledge and contribute to team innovation and productivity.
Who We're Looking For
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or a closely related major.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in Manhattan, NY.
Preferred qualifications:
- Internship or prior on-site experience in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience coordinating with multiple trades and following direction from construction leadership.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
Location & Work Model
- Work Location: On-site in Manhattan, NY (primary location: 100 Park Ave area).
- This role requires regular on-site presence; remote work is not available.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range (reported): USD 32.13 – 56.21 per hour.
- Benefits depend on employment status but may include medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, disability, paid time off, retirement savings, and other voluntary benefits where applicable.
- Compensation shown is provided by the hiring organization and is subject to change. Where local pay-transparency laws apply (e.g., New York), the provided pay range is included to comply with regulations.
