Construction Project Coordinator
The Construction Project Coordinator supports onsite construction operations for multifamily, commercial, or mixed-use projects by coordinating field activities, managing materials and deliveries, and assisting with safety and quality compliance. This role requires strong organizational skills, construction document interpretation, and collaboration with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. What You’ll Do
This role supports onsite construction operations and helps project teams deliver multifamily, commercial, or mixed-use projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards. You will act as a field operations coordinator, tracking materials and subcontractor activity while supporting safety and documentation efforts.
- Assist with project planning, coordination, and on-site execution.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Track and document subcontractor work, change orders, and scope adjustments.
- Maintain daily reports, safety logs, and jobsite documentation.
- Coordinate material deliveries, staging logistics, and site access with vendors and trades.
- Monitor procurement schedules and material timelines.
- Collaborate with superintendents, project managers, and field personnel to maintain schedules and sequencing.
- Support punch list completion and project closeout activities.
- Direct and coordinate temporary labor resources as assigned.
- Participate in jobsite safety programs and routine safety inspections per OSHA and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor construction quality and help implement corrective actions when needed.
- Foster positive relationships with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and the surrounding community.
Who We’re Looking For
We want candidates who are practical, organized, and safety-minded — people who can move between office and field responsibilities and keep projects running smoothly.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.*
- Minimum 1 year of construction, field operations, logistics, materials management, or related experience.
- Experience on multifamily or commercial projects and familiarity with concrete, framing, drywall, or structural steel is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications.
- Strong organizational, time management, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to learn platforms such as Procore and Bluebeam.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
*Construction-related certificates or internships, military service, or relevant education may substitute for direct industry experience where appropriate.
Certifications & Physical Requirements
- OSHA 30 required or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe.
- First Aid / CPR preferred.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds.
- Regular work on active construction sites and ability to observe/respond to jobsite hazards.
- Ability to work in varying weather and construction environments (noise, dust, etc.).
Compensation & Location
- Compensation: $75,000 - $95,000 base salary plus potential bonus.
- Employment type: Full-time, on-site in Fountain Valley, CA.
- This posting includes a salary range to comply with pay-transparency requirements for roles listed in California.
