Role Overview
Confidential Client is looking for an Entry Level Staff Accountant with construction accounting experience to join a growing commercial construction team. This full-time, in-office position in Lawrenceville, GA supports project accounting, financial operations, and provides a clear path to increased responsibility and accounting leadership. The team is actively interviewing and looking to hire immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction accounting activities across multiple projects
- Process construction-related invoices and maintain accurate financial records
- Perform job cost coding and monitor project costs
- Administer construction accounts payable and vendor payments
- Review and maintain Certificates of Insurance (COIs), lien waivers, and vendor compliance documentation
- Track paid-when-paid payment requirements
- Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 1–3+ years of accounting experience; construction accounting or project accounting experience is a strong plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, in-office environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
