Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Configuration Management Specialist to support aviation maintenance documentation and configuration control activities. This hybrid, full-time role in Poway, CA supports product support and maintenance teams by ensuring maintenance tasks, technical records, and engineering documents are accurate, up to date, and compliant with contractual and regulatory requirements. The role provides growth opportunities, exposure to maintenance management systems (e.g., Ramco, NALCOMIS), and the ability to pursue DoD security clearance where required.

What You’ll Do

• Create, manage, and organize aviation maintenance-related components and documentation.
• Record maintenance work orders, inspection reports, equipment history, and related technical records.
• Maintain maintenance plans, Job Control Numbers, historical documents, aircraft files, TCTO folders, engine records, and procedures.
• Review engineering documents and manage document control in Ramco or similar systems.
• Analyze completion of Service and Alert bulletins and ensure proper change accounting.
• Administer configuration management activities for identification, control, and accounting of engineering documents per contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to document repairs, upgrades, and modifications.
• Ensure documents and processes meet regulatory standards and internal policy.
• Follow established safety, legal, and security procedures and support continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related discipline typically preferred; equivalent professional government or commercial configuration management experience may substitute.
• Experience with an Electronic Record Keeping System or Maintenance Management System (examples: OOMA, NALCOMIS, IMDS, Ramco) required.
• Basic understanding of aviation maintenance principles, regulations, and practices.
• Working knowledge of configuration management concepts and change accounting.
• Strong communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and represent the organization externally when needed.
• Ability to travel as required (0%–25% typical).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required or strongly preferred.
• U.S. citizenship required for this role.
• Entry-level candidates (0–2 years) with relevant system experience are encouraged to apply.
