Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Configuration and Data Management Specialist to support logistics and lifecycle data tasks at Hurlburt Field, FL. This is a full‑time federal role ideal for early-career candidates and recent graduates who meet federal eligibility and clearance requirements. The position focuses on configuration management, data maintenance, and documentation to support program operations.
What You’ll Do
This role performs entry- to mid-level configuration and data management duties under established procedures and guidance. Typical responsibilities include:
- Maintain configuration and data records for assigned systems and equipment
- Track and document changes to technical data, parts, and equipment using official configuration control processes
- Prepare and edit technical correspondence, reports, and status updates
- Participate in special studies, initiatives, and cross-functional projects to improve data quality and workflows
- Coordinate with engineers, logisticians, and stakeholders to gather and verify configuration information
- Support creation and maintenance of documentation required for audits, certifications, and lifecycle logistics
- Assist in meeting training and regulatory requirements; obtain Life Cycle Logistics Level 1 certification within the required timeframe
Who We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
To be considered you must meet one of the qualifying paths for GS-7 (or equivalent federal pay band) OR have the combination of education and experience described below:

Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with documented Superior Academic Achievement (SAA), OR
- One full year (18 semester hours) of graduate-level study, OR
- Master’s or higher in a relevant field (business administration, industrial management/engineering, public administration, political science/government, or related), OR
- An acceptable combination of education and specialized experience equating to 100% of the requirement.

Experience & Skills
- Knowledge of configuration and data management principles and basic methodology
- Skill applying configuration/data management practices to complete assignments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting procedures, reports, and correspondence
- Analytical ability to identify issues, gather pertinent data, and propose solutions
- Ability to organize work, coordinate with team members, and meet deadlines

Additional Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required federal suitability and certifications
- May be required to relocate during or after training; PCS may be authorized per JTR/agency regulations
- One-year probationary or two-year trial period may apply
