Key responsibilities
- Provide technical monitoring support for production systems and applications
- Operate proprietary Confidential Client software applications
- Monitor system processes via alerting tools; escalate incidents per procedures
- Monitor communications devices and respond to alerts
- Support clusters of IBM AIX servers that process transactions
- Support Windows servers hosting web applications
- Support Linux servers hosting Confidential Client applications
- Perform data entry and basic system checks
- Assist with low-level equipment troubleshooting and vendor escalation
- Perform additional duties as assigned under the supervision of the Operations Manager
Required qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field plus 1 year related experience; Bachelor's degree preferred — or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Ability to acquire proficiency in new software applications
- Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with MS Excel and Word
- Knowledge of operating systems including AIX, Windows, and Linux
- Understanding of networking and data communications fundamentals
- Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights and weekends
Additional requirements & security
- Must possess valid documentation to establish identity and U.S. employment eligibility (I-9 compliance)
- Employment contingent on passing a thorough pre-employment background check by the required State or District Lottery and Confidential Client
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening is required
