What You’ll Do

This role is a night-shift Computer Operator supporting IT systems operations for a confidential client in Strongsville, OH. The position focuses on tier‑1 monitoring, basic data entry, low‑level troubleshooting assistance, and escalation of incidents.

• Provide technical monitoring support for systems and applications
• Operate proprietary client software and follow run‑book procedures
• Monitor system processes via alerting tools and escalate according to procedures
• Observe and report status of communications devices and infrastructure
• Monitor clusters of IBM AIX servers, Windows servers, and Linux servers
• Perform routine data entry and logging of events/incidents
• Assist with low‑level equipment troubleshooting and initiate escalation when needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

What We’re Looking For

Education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities expected for success in this role:

• Associates degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field and one (1) year of related experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred — or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Ability to learn new software applications quickly
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
• Familiarity with operating systems such as AIX, Windows, and Linux
• Basic knowledge of networking and data communications
• Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights and weekends (night shift: 8:30 PM – 8:30 AM)
