What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Computer Hardware Technician to support Bitcoin mining operations at their Soperton, GA facility. This hands-on role focuses on keeping mining hardware and supporting systems running reliably and efficiently.

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and hardware repairs on mining rigs and supporting infrastructure
• Monitor mining hardware and mining-management software; identify and resolve performance or connectivity issues
• Install and configure new mining hardware and firmware/software updates
• Maintain cooling, ventilation and power systems; troubleshoot environmental issues that affect uptime
• Log and track performance metrics, downtime events, and maintenance activities to support continuous improvement
• Follow safety, security and regulatory procedures related to mining operations
• Collaborate with operations and IT teams to implement strategies that minimize downtime and improve profitability
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure equipment environment

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an IT or technical support role, preferably with hands-on hardware troubleshooting
• Solid knowledge of PC/server hardware, firmware, and common operating systems
• Comfortable working with rack-mounted equipment, cabling, and power/cooling systems
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends when required
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment safely

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred, not required)
• Experience with cryptocurrency mining hardware, ASICs, or mining-management software
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, basic networking, and Linux-based systems

Compensation & Schedule

• Employment type: Full time
• Estimated pay: $42,956 per year (estimated)
• Schedule: May require shift work, nights, and weekend coverage to support 24/7 operations
