The entry-level Computer & Electrical Engineer at Confidential Client will contribute to the development, testing, and troubleshooting of Hardware Building Block components used in naval nuclear propulsion systems. What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Computer & Electrical Engineer to join an Instrumentation & Control (I&C) engineering team supporting hardware development and integration. You will contribute across design, test, and delivery activities for Hardware Building Block (HWBB) components used in high-reliability systems.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Support development and maintenance of functional requirements for HWBB components
- Perform hands-on laboratory testing, troubleshooting, and data collection
- Assist system integrators with hardware incorporation into larger plant/system designs
- Help drive schedules, testing plans, and documentation for component deliveries
- Work with vendors, prime contractors, and program stakeholders to resolve issues
- Participate in design reviews, test procedures, and technical reports
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must meet these requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university — OR a Master’s degree in the same fields
- U.S. citizenship (required for work involving classified material and federal background investigations)
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation and drug screening per federal contractor policy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
Candidates with one or more of the following will stand out:
- GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
- Experience with technical writing and preparing test reports
- Familiarity writing or verifying functional requirements
- Hands-on lab testing experience with electrical or embedded systems
- Exposure to Instrumentation & Control (I&C) design or reactor-plant I&C operations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
Compensation & Benefits
Pay range (reported): $63,900 - $97,800 per year (actual offer depends on experience, qualifications, and business considerations).
