The Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local compliance requirements on government-funded construction projects, focusing on prevailing wage laws and payroll accuracy. This entry-level role involves collaboration with project teams to manage compliance documentation, resolve audit findings, and support economic opportunity goals, with occasional travel to construction sites.

What You’ll Do
The Compliance Analyst is an entry-level project compliance role supporting government-funded construction projects. You will work with project teams and a centralized compliance group to ensure projects meet contractual, prevailing wage, and reporting requirements for our confidential client.
Primary responsibilities may include:
- Protect the organization and trade partners by enforcing compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws, union agreements, and project labor agreements (PLAs)
- Generate, certify, and submit Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs) for confidential client craft employees and review subcontractor CPRs for accuracy and timeliness
- Collect, review, and manage prevailing-wage documentation from confidential client teams and trade partners
- Cross-check payroll submissions against project records to confirm correct wage payments to craft workers
- Conduct on-site worker interviews on a weekly basis to validate compliance with prevailing wage requirements
- Assist with investigations and resolution of complex prevailing wage issues with third parties and auditors
- Support project start-up and close-out compliance activities and rapidly address internal audit findings
- Collaborate with project and corporate leadership on process improvements and compliance issue resolution
- Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive personnel and payroll information
- Travel to one or more local project sites as required
Basic Qualifications
- Highly motivated, organized, and able to manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and consistent, reliable output
- Ability to learn quickly and perform under pressure in a fast-paced, team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with federal contracting, labor regulations, and FAR is a plus
- Alignment to client standards of excellence such as: self-motivated, results-oriented, adaptable, team player, accountable, ethical, and resilient
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience preferred
- Prior exposure to construction payroll, certified payroll reporting, or prevailing wage compliance is advantageous
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $60,000 - $75,000 per year (range provided by the confidential client)
- This role is eligible for bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement/401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, life insurance, short & long term disability, commuter benefits, FSA, tuition assistance, employee assistance programs, and other employee support benefits.
- Final compensation may vary depending on education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based work with regular computer use and document review
- Frequent travel to active construction sites; site conditions may include variable weather, noise, and moving equipment
- Must be able to lift/move items up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Role may require flexibility for extended hours during critical project phases
Location & Travel
- This position is based in Pimmit, VA and requires local travel to one or more project sites.
